Unlike most other products, ProactiveWatch understands that you don't have time to waste chasing down false alarms. ProactiveWatch provides sophisticated facilities to ensure that you only get the alarms you want, and no others.
The first layer of Alarm Management in ProactiveWatch is Exclusions. Exclusions allow you to filter out alarms that you never want to see across all of your customers with one click of the mouse. ProactiveWatch ships with a default set of exclusions. You can add any Alarm to this list, and can also generalize Exclusion patterns with wildcards. Finally, you can Exclude resource based alarms, based upon which process is using up the resource (for example, you can filter out Memory alarms caused by Store.exe, but still get alarms caused by any other process). The default set of exclusions are shown below:

The next layer of Alarm Management is Marked As Normal. This allows you to mark as normal alarms during certain periods of the day (reboots at night), or to filter out all alarms over a weekend. Normal alarms are still depicted in the Console (in light blue instead of red), and will not generate email notifications.
